Agreed. Rocker shaft wear is easy to check - just warm up the engine then
idle it with the rocker cover removed.

Proper function will have oil dribbling over the rockers, while worn shaft
will spurt oil into the air. One of my Healeys shot oil up to the bonnet
underside!
