I bought our TR6 26 years ago when my son was 11. He learned to wrench on =
that thing, and its still his favorite car, although he is really more of=

im no milenium but my TR3 is sought after by my son.
i had bought the car as a project when he was just 16.
at that age no one over the age of 18 is cool. and i had found our relation=
ship was the same as i had with my dad at that age. lacking but still lovin=
g.
my sone was just ready to get his first driving licence and had shown good =
mechanical skills.
so together we build a near frame off restoration.
and it brought us very close as we bled, cused and i introduced him to beer=
.
to this day he loves the car and has confirmed to the family that the car w=
ill pass to him upon my demise.
i also own a 1956 bel air that he likes but does not share the love he has =
for the TR.
so at least one TR3 will survive for many more years.
the list has gotten me many friends and helped solve many problems.
with the car fininshed and running really well i rarely have need to ask th=
e list for help.
but its still my favourite mail

years which also doesn=92t grab me. It=92s too Standard-Triumph model spec=
ific, people get upset when they accidentally post to the wrong forum and t=
here has been some disquieting and very discourteous responses and no one s=
eems to be particularly helpful. Mark=92s monthly reminders tell me I=92m l=
ogged to 6 Pack but I never get six pack stuff coming my way and even with =
the correct password, I can=92t access it.
The reality (for me) is that tech is going too fast for me to keep up with =
it and I refuse to spend any day of my surely now limited life transfixed b=
y my smartphone screen that 99% of the rest of the world seems happy to do.=
I=92m not enamoured by either my former iPhone or current Samsung as they=
=92re both full of trash programs that hold zero interest and I can=92t be =
bothered or motivated to learn how they work.
Perhaps it=92s better for me to once more return to the days of carbon pape=
r, card index boxes and an abacus. At least I know how they work!
