You are so right about the economics of restoration. The best way to acquire a mint condition concours classic car is to buy it from an owner who's invested 50% more than the car is worth. That is ab

The MGC has been unfairly panned for years, but enthusiasts are starting to come around. I love 'em because: 1. They're rare, therefore a good investment 2. Despite their supposed handling flaws, the

Overinflation puts less rubber on the road, which obviously decreases the road grip of the tires. Overinflating the front tires only on an MGC to about 36psi reduces a lot of the nose-heavy understee

Overinflating the front tires puts less rubber on the road, therefore less traction. Since steering is done through the front wheels, they're easier to turn. To the extent that understeer may be caus

A great way to ensure starting is to take the battery (or batteries as the case may be) out of the car at night, then put them back warm in the morning. It's also a good theft prevention technique. S

Aaahhh....the GT body, particularly that husky CGT! The A, although cute, is a remake of half a dozen european race cars of the 40's. The Pininfarina GT, on the other hand....unique and influential.
