YES, yes you are screwed. Use the DPOs hole. You can't drill taps out with ordinary drills. I am experienced at trying and failing.

I have a GT6 so I have no idea how big (small) the gasket needs to be. it rectangular in basic shape so I need a pattern or gasket or for now the outside dimensions.

I don't think I can help with those the side light markers on my 69 GT6 use molded light to body gaskets. The inside gaskets are die cut.
