- I have to agree with Ulix. If neither one of the poles is marked, then it would almost have to be an ammeter type gauge. One way to check for sure whether it will fry your sender is to use a meter be

- If you look on the back of the fuel gauge and notice that the two connections are labeled "B" and "T", then the gauge itself is probably bad, as you apparently have the type that should not have the
