its worth noting they also have some non sfi certified ones on clearance for $250. if you just want a nice new well fitting steel bellhousing this is a pretty good deal. _____________________________

mine is a normal wide pattern 6 bolt aluminum one that has been modified by welding some threaded bosses in to convert it to the narrow pattern. if you're handy with a tig welder this is possible but

seems a bit odd - he's building the wishbones from wood too. can't see how that can be both strong and stiff. why not just use carbon? i think the right word here is 'niche'! ________________________

if you jack the rear end up and turn one wheel the wheel on the other side will turn in the same direction if you have a posi. if the other wheel turns the other way you don't. ______________________

also, i think its normal to spin both wheels when you lay on that much power in a straight line. with a posi, you would find it doesn't spin the inside wheel when accelerating out of a corner. ______

i once had a nice set of detailed instructions for changing the soft top but i seem to have lost them. i started this job at the weekend and it certainly takes time just to get the frame fitting well
