- i see your point. to save the water pump and alternator, i remove the fan for track style events and in the winter. it's only required in hot weather stop and go traffic. over 20mph i've never had a

- i also prefer that set up which is why that's what i get away with most of the time. interesting to hear of that failure though - i shall add a note to replace mine in 2 years. small price to pay. __

- before you buy one, check the distance between the holes in the boot/trunk lid and ask the seller to give you the same distance between the studs on the handle. unless you want to drill your boot lid

- yes, it seems a bizzare choice to me. why put an old iron pushrod v8 in a modern car? much better would be something like a ford duratec. tons of power available cheaply there. ______________________

- my sister had a couple of mx5's from new and i always enjoyed driving them immensely. really felt like a perfectly set up '60 sports car in the same way the new mini somehow feels like the old mini.

- I think they do do rear kits with "hand brakes" but I already have dales rear kit with mustang calipers. I have 16" wheels but they fit 15 too. They also do smaller rotors I think. No us distributors
