The clutch MC is aluminum and should not be pitted. I rebuilt mine on my TR250 years ago and it worked fine. The cluch SC is another story. I had my resleeved in brass -- no more pits. Had my Brake M

I would strongly suggest you get a copy of Dan Master's TR250 and TR6 electrical maintenance book. It is very well written and perfect for a beginner like me. Makes me feel competent. TRF sells them.
