As I just responded to the other TR4 owner, the TR4 unit also bolts to the bumper brackets. It seems to work just fine. See the other post for some tips, and don't sweat the swarf. -- Phil Ethier Wes

Another good reason for a white top. The extremes will be a little less due to the reduced solar heating. That said, the black top on our TR4 fits OK. I have a white top I bought to experiment with,

At an airport run, I easily got the TR4 ("hood erected") to 100 MPH, then feathered to respect the redline. When I removed the top, I ran out of acceleration space at 95 MPH. 4500 on the rev counter,
