I installed a blower years ago on my BN2 using a maritime axial fan and fou=
nd that the hose exit face need not blow directly on the float bowls to be =
effective. The hose exit near the radiator works well.

Here's another idea that lets you pre-lube your Healey whenever you want f=
rom the comfort of your driver's seat:?1) Begin by installing a fuel-pump c=
utoff switch and another switch that cuts off current to the coil; you can =
mount two very period-looking toggle switches beneath the heater controls o=
n a bracket, using the long bolts that hold the black-plastic control panel=
in place without having to drill any holes in the dash. 2) Use the fuel cu=
toff switch to run the float bowls out of fuel (takes about 30 seconds maxi=
mum) before turning the ignition key to "off" and before you put your Heale=
y away for the day. This is also a great workaround if your engine tends to=
diesel after shutting it off?a common problem on the Sixes especially, not=
ed even in contemporary road tests.?3) Turn the ignition key and, with the =
fuel pump and ignition switches OFF, crank over the engine for 15 seconds o=
r so to pre-lube it with its own engine oil without washing down the cylind=
ers with fuel and witho
ut putting any strain on the points or, particularly, a Pertronix unit.?4)=
Flip the fuel-pump and ignition switches to ON, let the fuel pump run for =
roughly 5 seconds (no more) to refill the float bowls, then start the engin=
e as usual. You can also cut power to the ignition by simply yanking the ho=
t wire from the coil by hand, of course?assuming a simple spade connector? =
but having two nifty toggle switches in the cockpit is even easier and slic=
ker!?

Prime the oil pump by injecting oil by removing the oil pressure gauge line
at the block.
If you have an original canister oil filter fill it before starting.

Elton,
I run Sea Foam in our 4 antique cars and an antique boat...in every tank...=
never without.
I run it every tank of our pleasure boat and back pack blower, as well.
I add a can to gas of our 3 daily drivers about once a quarter.
As you can see, I swear by it. I don't like gummed up carbs or injectors..=
.especially the cars less driven.
I buy it by the case through amazon or you can catch it on sale at Walmart =
sometimes.

Here's another idea that lets you pre-lube your Healey whenever you w=
ant from the comfort of your driver's seat:?1) Begin by installing a fuel-p=
ump cutoff switch and another switch that cuts off current to the coil; you=
can mount two very period-looking toggle
switches beneath the heater controls on a bracket, using the long bolts th=
at hold the black-plastic control panel in place without having to drill an=
y holes in the dash. 2) Use the fuel cutoff switch to run the float bowls o=
ut of fuel (takes about 30 seconds
maximum) before turning the ignition key to "off" and before you=
put your Healey away for the day. This is also a great workaround if your =
engine tends to diesel after shutting it off?a common problem on the Sixes =
especially, noted even in contemporary road
tests.?3) Turn the ignition key and, with the fuel pump and ignition switc=
hes OFF, crank over the engine for 15 seconds or so to pre-lube it with its=
own engine oil without washing down the cylinders with fuel and witho<br>
ut putting any strain on the points or, particularly, a Pertronix uni=
t.?4) Flip the fuel-pump and ignition switches to ON, let the fuel pump run=
for roughly 5 seconds (no more) to refill the float bowls, then start the =
engine as usual. You can also cut power
to the ignition by simply yanking the hot wire from the coil by hand, of c=
ourse?assuming a simple spade connector? but having two nifty toggle switch=

I run Sea Foam in our 4 antique cars and an antique boat...in every tank...=
never without.<br>
I run it every tank of our pleasure boat and back pack blower, as well.<br>
I add a can to gas of our 3 daily drivers about once a quarter.<br>

As you can see, I swear by it. I don't like gummed up carbs or inject=
ors...especially the cars less driven.<br>

I buy it by the case through amazon or you can catch it on sale at Walmart =
sometimes.<br>
