I picked up one of the cheap Chinese 8" handhelds. Came with two batteries=
.=C2=A0 It has been surprisingly versatile. Went through seriously thick pa=
lm trees that I thought would kill it.=C2=A0 A few annoyances with it--havi=
ng to stop to clean debris, otherwise it will jam (battery pull/re-insert r=
equired) and the chain cover is an exercise in patience every time it gets =
removed.=C2=A0 It leaks chain oil, so it's fill to use and drain and clean =
when done.=C2=A0 Not having to manually cut limbs has been great.=C2=A0 The=
chain is dull now and I have another chain somewhere.=C2=A0 The only time =
I use the manual saw is to cut long limbs to fit the the garbage can becaus=
e I don't feel like filling, draining, cleaning up chain oil, but if I time=
it right, The pile of limbs is done the same day as the other cutting. For=
Oak, IMO, unless you get two batteries, you might be limiting yourself wit=
h how much you can cut in a session.=C2=A0 At least with Gas, you can just =
refill and go, even with 2 strokes you can still get from China.=C2=A0 With=
batteries, you might kill both because the first has not finished rechargi=
ng by the time the second battery dies.=C2=A0=C2=A0
