I replaced the metal fuel line with a bundyflex 5/16 inch brake line.=   Remove the old metal brake line.  Bend the bundyflex brake line= to match the bends of the old fuel line.  Cut to length and install = the new fuel line.

When I had the tank out I did not replace what I think are the origina= l lines.=C2=A0 =C2=A0 I cut the acdelco tin can fuel filter in 2 today. I a= lso took the pump apart it looked okay and shoots fuel out using the hand p= rimer. The filter was definitely dirty and needing replacement.=C2=A0 =C2= =A0I'm thinking to drain the tank and at least replace the rubber hose = sections of the fuel line. Clean up the steel fuel lines as it's very d= irty and greasy under there.=C2=A0 =C2=A0The steel sections of the fuel lin= e are NA from TRF and moss.=C2=A0 =C2=A0Advice and recommendations?

I was = just in Kingman, AZ around Chri= stmas, as my son moved there this fall.  After we v= isited my son we went west to LA to visit more friends and relatives. = We took the stretch of Rt. 66 from Kingman to Needles, CA through the old = mining town of Oatman.  That stretch of 66 is some spectacular road. I= t is what you read about in the "Grapes of Wrath". Oatman is a very funky t= ourist town now and worth the trip.

That is, in my opinion, the most interesting stretch of Rt 66.  Although the part near Amboy in California is also other-worldly.
