We use to have a military surplus store in our area that had a hand operated dog tag stamping machine. He could make custom dog tags for you or your pet. If you have surplus stores in or around your area. Give them a try.

Several years ago, I remember seeing story somewhere where a guy bought a
gray 1976 Bricklin that had been sitting in a building with several other
cars. Does anyone remember this?

Let me know if there is a link to the story out there.

Thanks, Jason

I bought it from Byers in Columbus, it was just before 9/11, There were a 3 or
4 other 76's there as well at the time, they were all sold off shortly after.
I went there to buy a load of parts they "found' in one of their warehouses.
Byers was one of the people behind consolidated industries who bought most of
the parts and cars from the liquidation auction. he had several like 40 or 50
suntan bricklins on the lot in Ohio at the time and said "paint one that
color" while pointing at an early 25th anniversary corvette. I still have a
copy of the Ohio title in Consolidated's name.

I'm looking for an accelerator cable clamp like this one:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/john_t_blair/8640137849/in/photostream/

Anyone know where I can get one?

It's for my '65 Morgan with the Cortina engine and the Zenith 32VN carb.

I think when the carb was manufactured and this clamp installed, the
buggered the threads on the stud to act as a nyloc nut. So when I had to
take the nut off to transfer it to another carb. the threads got pertty chewed
up.

It is with much sadness that I tell you that a great man, that behind the
scenes was responsible for getting our beloved car to the manufacturing
stage. passed away. Max Ofner owned Windsor Tool and Die and made all the
metal stamping for the car, he also personally resolved many engineering
issues with the stampings, he also has a few Bricklins and was at last years
meet in Frankenmuth

Hi everyone

I need to replace my brake pads on 2824 and was wondering if anyone has
some firsthand knowledge of part #s. Because there are two different
front brake setups on our cars (Bendix and Kelsey Hayes) some of the
information available on the WEB is confusing or not specific enough to
know if the quoted parts are for Bendix or Kelsey Hayes. Can anyone
out there provide the part #s for the pads that they successfully used
and if the caliper was Bendix or Kelsey Hayes.

Bendix - flexible brake line connected directly to the caliper, held on
with allan screw and slider plate

Kelsey Hayes - the last 3' of the brake line is metal, the caliper is
held on with 2 bolts.

The other information that I am trying to clear up is the wheel bearing
information. I'll probably also replace the wheel bearings as a result
of Terry's article in April 2013 Bricklin. Again I've been told the
wheel bearing are different depending on if the car has Bendix or Kelsey
Hayes setup and there is no mention of there being different wheel
bearing in any of the parts cross references. Anyone able to confirm
these are different? Anyone have firsthand experience with the parts #
for the front wheel bearing?

Regards

Kevin

according to my notes I have Kelsey hayes capilpers adn the Brkae Pads from Auto
Zone are part D39 the calipers are C102 and C103 per Autozone numbers but one
side was avilable and the other was not. I changed the front pads, calipers and
hoses when i got my car- just since old rubber can go bad. The caliper Auto Zone
did not have I got froma place in WI there was a $5 core charge n it and I never
sent the core back since it was more than $5 in postage. Not the best way to
insure peopel send in their cores. So still have that around,
