Just got mail fro. MG UK that the "clock is ticking" for the new MG SUV
reveal.

I bet it doesn't look anything like the retro SUV concept that vaguely
looked like the BGT.

Folks,

I would never ever buy one. What in Satan's domain has it got to do
with MG ?? It is like "Pierre Cardin" stuff - He has said
publically that he never has anything to with the products that bear
his name except haut couture, He says if someone wants to give money
to stick his name on something why not, wouldn't you. And if people
think he has anything to do with watches, jewelry, mans clothes then
that is not his problem - if they are so dumb. He is nothing else
than haut couture!!!!!!!!!!!!! So why buy an MG that is only
labelled as an MG.

Poor old Kimber must be turning in his grave

Well, it IS an MG, as they do make them in the UK and have for a number of =
years. I think our own Paul Hunt might have a newer one...? Nothing wrong t=
hem makingnew ones, as far as I am concerned. Yeah, it has nothing to do wi=
th the MGB, and that's a good thing for a modern car, although that have pi=
cked up the heritage in somesmall areas of trim on some of their calls. Per=
sonally, I hope they do well enough to perhaps decide to make a small, Miat=
a-sized roadster in the future.
I'm visiting my daughter in Cork City in Ireland in March, and have been ca=
sting around the rental companies trying to see if I can find one to rent.

What makes an automotive marque authentic? You could argue that
the 1100 saloon and the 1960s Midget aren't "real" MGs, either.
Does a ford need to be made in Dearborn to be a real Ford? Is
a new Bentley not a real Bentley because the company is owned by
VW? Is any Cadillac made by GM (since 1909) not authentic?

There are two situations. The one where someone takes over the
company and continues with the product. Examples are TVR and
Lotus. The other is where the company is bought for its
badge. Example Bugatti, Perfect view on this stuck-on badge thing
is Pierre Cardin whose name is on a whole host of products which he
never goes even remotely near. He says if you don't know that he
is only into haunt couture then tough if you buy a product outside
his domain just because it has his name is on it. Putting a badge
on an item does not do anything but pull in the punters - it does not
magically change the product.

Well, those may not be good examples - TVR and Lotus have both gone in and =

the 1100 saloon and the 1960s Midget aren't "real" MGs,either.
Does a ford need to be made in Dearborn to be a real Ford? Is
a new Bentley not a real Bentley because the company is owned by
VW?=C2=A0 Is any Cadillac made by GM (since 1909) not authentic?

I got some switches that were identical to my=20

I was building my GT V8 several years=20

find any data on my PCs but I think the name was=20
Eurospares or Europarts or something=20
similar. They had some interesting stuff. Mr Google will help :-)

Re; 1973MGB camshaft
No Joel but as a Crane Cams dealer I can offer all Crane cams listed for the honest suggested retail price of $ 430.
I am also the exclusive Crane cams dealer for the NEW MG XPAG race cam, that outperforms the B & G 102 cam on paper & on the track.!
