Has anyone had experience of Zero Garage doing a poly floor finish on the garage floor?.  They did mine and it does not work well.  The mud and salt just do not wash off despite jet and washing detergent.  The original concrete floor was much much better.  And they just ignore my pleas and mumble email replies.  I certainly would not recommend them.

The mystery is that I am almost 100% sure the wire I removed from= the sending unit was the white/black wire.  Not only did I label it b= efore I took it off, but that wire had a plastic shield around it, like hea= t shrink tubing, except it was loose on the wire, and the other wire didn't= .  Both of these things make me certain the white/black wire is the on= e I removed.  Why then, after replacing the alternator, the oil pressu= re gauge did not work, but after switching to the white/brown wire, it did?=   Since the wire that was attached to the sending unit (white/black) d= id not agree with the wiring diagram, I can only assume that a previous own= er put the wrong wire on it.  But then, why did the gauge work with th= e wrong wire on it?  When I discovered the correct wire, which had bee= n taped back, out of use, and hooked it to the sending unit, the gauge work= ed.

Any ideas of what caused this mystery?  T= hanks.

I don't know how the oil pressure gauge would respond to the tachometer input. It would be scary to think that you weren't really reading oil pressure before and the gauge was just responding to the tach signal that says the engine is turning, I don't really know if any of this is plausible. But then the tach wouldn't work - and that wouldn't respond to an oil pressure sender. That jams the brakes on, this is apparently lack of = braking=20 effort i.e. the opposite.

Troubleshooting over email leaves lots to the imagination, if we had our hands on the car it would be easier. Manifested as sluggish acceleration away from a traffic light.  When I stopped to check both front brakes/discs were hot, rear drums were cool.  So I opened the brake line to the front brakes at the MC momentarily in order to release the pressure to the calipers.  The brakes released and I went on my way.  Never happened again but I sent that MC off to be rebuilt soon after that trip.
