I got around the steering box problem by moving the engine to the passenger=
 side to clear the steering.I think it was moved about 1 inch just so the f=
uel pump was close to the frame. I havent run this truck yet so I hope this=
 wasnt a mistake. Chrysler used to mount its slant 6 off center.BobMead, CO=

solve this problem for you.=C2=A0 If you are using the standard, later, mid=

you.=C2=A0 My son and I, put a small block 400 into a 47 International fram=

The hugger headers worked quite well for this installation.
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 I have a 55 chev Cameo, with a 454, and solved this pr=

cutting and re-welding the two back tubes on the LH header so it would=20
clear the steering box.=C2=A0 It took a little thinking, but I was able to=

do this without changing the length of the header pipes. This allows me=20
to use the 1 3/4 inch full size headers in the truck.
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 I am almost certain that the hugger headers will work for you=

there is the other option.

About 20 years ago I replaced the Vertical Division Bar Channel Felt Liners=
 in my 57 3100. The felt liner strip is glued into the U shaped channel th=
at cushions the front of the sliding door window. I spread the glue on the=
 inside of the division bar and pressed the liner into the U shaped recess =
with a piece of plywood - the process went well but they have finally worn =
out.=20

So it is time to do it again but I've forgotten (old age is cruel) what glu=
e I used. I think that I remember applying it with a brush attached to the=

Can anyone report on their experiences with this repair and what glue they =

Chuck,
     I have a 55 Cameo 1/2 ton and I need to do the same job, If anyone
knows of a good place to buy the material, I would appreciate it if you
could pass on this information as well.

Bob=2C=20

Jim Carter=2C LMC Trucks=2C and Classic Parts of America sell =0A=
division bar liner material as well as liners for the rest of the window=0A=
 and rubber seals for the vent wing. I think that I bought the vent =0A=
wing rivets from Carter many years ago but don't see them in his catalog=0A=
 now. However they and the rivet setting tool are in the Classic Parts=0A=
 of America catalog. LMC also sells complete lined division bars but I =0A=
am too cheap for that. Removing the window is a pain in the keister so =0A=
it might be a good time to renew everything if you have the $$$$. =20

Thanks, Chuck,
     I have had the truck for 48 years and have only done this once before,
so I need to pull everything apart anyway so I can lube the window
regulators.
If I remember correctly, the most difficult part of the job was to
re-install the
  vent frame.
Bob

You could also try Steele Rubber http://www.steelerubber.com/ Probably
where LC gets their rubber parts.

Bob,

Jim Carter, LMC Trucks, and Classic Parts of America sell division bar liner
material as well as liners for the rest of the window and rubber seals for
the vent wing. I think that I bought the vent wing rivets from Carter many
years ago but don't see them in his catalog now. However they and the
rivet setting tool are in the Classic Parts of America catalog. LMC also
sells complete lined division bars but I am too cheap for that. Removing
the window is a pain in the keister so it might be a good time to renew
everything if you have the $$$$.

Best regards,

Chuck
