Hi guys, Thanks for the suggestions. I decided to do the new brake= shoes
this winter, replacing what I think a= re the originals. I got the car when
i= t was 10 years old and haven't changed them. And even tho= ugh the
springs, pins and clips that I have = are OK, I was hoping to renew
everything, &n= bsp;The shoes are in the mail, and the springs are supposed to beavailable soon. And yes, I saw that a couple UK= sources claim to have
them. Are there= any issues ordering from them? And I was considering the
hardware store solution as well.

Back in 2009 at SUNI in South Dakota my son-in-law, Rob Guerra, had = this

= problem with missing these parts after he lost a wheel. We went to th= e

loc= al hardware store and bought some steel Pan or Binding head screws (they

have la= rger heads) in an 8-32 size if I remember correctly. Also got some

similia= r springs and some different sized washers which we super-glued

together to simu= late the OEM dished washers. Also some Nylock nuts to hold

everything toge= ther. This repair lasted several years until we replaced

the OEM drum syst= em with my Wilwood based drum-disk kit. You just have to

be creative. And = yes there are several OEM replacements but I'd try my

nearest NAPA store.=
