This = coming weekend (9/20 & 21) is the Washington County Covered Bridge = Tour.  The Krepps covered bridge is in Mt. Anniversary Run = and=20 QS&L Tour 2014.

September 20, 2014 is the = date where we=20 gather for the Quaker Steak and Lube Tour to Sharon PA for 2014.  Over the past few years that I = have=20 organized the QS&L Tour I have tried to create a different route = than the=20 year before and usually started north then ran west to Sharon PA.  This year in order to mix it = up again we=20 are going to head west then turn north ending up at the QS&L.  This should be an easy run for = the=20 navigator as the roads are well marked and there are long distances = before=20 changing a route.  There = are still=20 plenty of curves and dips and valleys to make the drive = interesting.  

We=20 will start at the Sheetz on Mount Nebo Road off exit 68 on I-79.  Meeting time will be 10:00 AM = and=20 Drivers meeting at 10:15 AM.  =20 This is a busy Sheetz but possibly we can gather at the far side = of the=20 pumps.

I=20 hope this can be a large gathering as an invite went out to all the = registries=20 of the British Car Day to join us via an emailed copy of the Dzus = Dnuz.  We have had a cool August and = lets hope=20 we still have a nice end of September weather for a top down run.

I=E2=80=99ve forwarded a message I got, = yesterday, from George Yonker=E2=80=99s wife, Kathy.=C2=A0 George and = Kathy are Jaguar and Triumph club members, as well as members of my = church (Hickory Presbyterian), which is promoting and hosting the = event.=C2=A0 The Hickory Lions Club (most of whom are members of our = church) also works on this event and Wil was working the Lions Club = booth, when he fell ill.

 

I=E2=80=99m thinking we = could do an Early Morning Run from the diner to the festival, leaving = the diner around 9 AM (which is hardly early for this country boy, but = I=E2=80=99m making allowances for you city boys ;)).=C2=A0 How about = some feed-back?=C2=A0 So far I=E2=80=99ve only heard from a couple of = guys who can=E2=80=99t make it, due to other commitments.=C2=A0 This = will be a good opportunity to honor Wil=E2=80=99s memory and spend a = good part of the day driving our cars (we can do more driving after = leaving Krepps).

The car show for the = Kreps covered bridge is held on Sunday starting at 10 am.  Of = course you may start coming around 9:30.  The cost is a = donation.

George will be = there around 7:30 that morning as there is an open air worship service = at 8:15.
What an honor to do that for Wil's = memory!

Please let me know = if you have a large response as I will have to make additional parking = arrangements.  The car show is always a crowd pleaser as well as a = draw!

This is a very nice low key event at an outstanding venue. All you = have to=20 do is drive there in your TR, MG, etc. and bring your own beverages. Do = not=20 bring your own food.
