Run to=20 Sugarcreek

On Saturday October 4th, join Kim and myself for a travel back into = time.=20 Our time travel will begin at the: Kings Family Restaurant, 500 Market = Place=20 Dr., Oakdale, Pa. 15071 , (724 )695-3922. We will leave Kings promptly = at 10 AM=20 (drivers meeting @9:45 AM), so make sure you get there early enough for=20 breakfast and/or a roll to go along with your coffee (we all know = Triumphs are=20 equipped with cup holders).

From there we will travel on a plethora of back roads as we wind = our way=20 back thru time to Amish Country located between Sugarcreek and Berlin=20 Ohio.

On Saturday, October 18, we=E2=80=99ll be taking a = leisurely drive=20 along secluded back-roads, through the Laurel Highlands. It should = be=20 pretty good leaf-viewing weather by then=E2=80=A6=E2=80=A6.maybe a = little cool and even=20 damp. But, we=E2=80=99ll go, unless it snows! The route will = include some of=20 the same roads enjoyed by PVGP=E2=80=99s Countryside Tour, in July, only = we won=E2=80=99t have=20 to fight the heat.

We will meet for a late breakfast at 10 AM at The=20 Springhouse, on route 136, in Eighty-Four ($9.95 for all you can eat = breakfast=20 buffet, including coffee, juice or milk). After grabbing a QUICK=20 breakfast, we will QUICKLY get organized into our tour groups and hit = the=20 road. Stragglers will be left to the mercy of the natives!

We=E2=80=99ll make a stop in Ohiopyle, which is such a beautiful = place to visit, at=20 this time of year, before moving on to our primary destination: historic = Fort=20 Ligonier. This historic site, in which WPTA=E2=80=99s own Brad = Mooney played a=20 prominent role in the restoration of, offers self-guided or guided tours = for $10=20 per person.

Leaving Fort Ligonier, we=E2=80=99ll take a fairly short (by Bud = standards),=20 back-roads drive, before arriving at our dinner destination: the = Ligonier=20 Country Inn, at Laughlintown, where we can relax in their cozy bar = (great=20 beer selection), before heading to the dining room for = dinner. After=20 dinner, you can either spend the night in one of the rooms at the Inn = (between=20 $125 and $140 per night), or you can head home, if you like. = Either way,=20 you will have a great time enjoying great old cars on great, winding, = tree-lined=20 roads along with a bunch of good friends . . . similar to our = club=E2=80=99s old slogan,=20 come to think of it.
