"ltr">It?s not a club of buddies to bully anyone but a club of buddies to de=
fend<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">each other against a big bully. It?s no=
t a European idea or club and<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">Canada is a member.&=
nbsp; Despite the rhetoric you might read or hear, NATO<br></div><div dir=3D=
"ltr">isn?t a way for everyone apart from the USA to get defence on the chea=
p.<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">Not everyone in the club might agree that every=
one is paying enough.<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">However, the member paying t=
he most doesn?t say it will pay less but argues<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">ot=
hers should pay more. Why is that? Well, you might have to do yo=
ur own<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">research on that.<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr"=
><br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">Europe isn?t a country it?s a geographic region.=
The EU is not the same<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">thing as Europe beca=
use the EU is a kind of club. Strangely enough the EU<br></div><div di=
r=3D"ltr">has been viewed by some members and one ex-member as a club where n=
ot all<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">the members pay in enough money or get equa=
l benefits out of it. The<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">republic of Irelan=
d is not in NATO but is in Europe and is in the EU. The<br></div><div d=
ir=3D"ltr">United Kingdom (Great Britain, sort of) is in NATO and is in Euro=
pe but is<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">not in the EU (it left some years ago).<=
br></div><div dir=3D"ltr"><br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">Is Europe being taken o=
ver by Islamic (Moslem) immigrants? Well, I don?t<br></div><div dir=3D=
"ltr">think so. I could make a joke and say that in England at least, t=
he Hindus<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">and Sikhs would never allow that to happ=
en. You also have to understand<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">there are actually=
2 major and one lesser Islamic group ? not sure if this<br></div><div dir=3D=
"ltr">is quite the same thing as Catholics and Protestants but it?s how I li=
ke to<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">think of it. Over the years I?ve worke=
d alongside Moslems and they were<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">great people and=
not extremists.<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr"><br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">I read=
a lot that the reason Europeans have free healthcare is because they<br></d=
iv><div dir=3D"ltr">rely on the US, as part of NATO, to protect them rather t=
han pay for their<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">own protection. In the UK f=
ree healthcare came into being after WW2 and<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">exist=
ed all the way through the Cold War at a time when the UK spent a lot<br></d=
iv><div dir=3D"ltr">more on defence than it does now. However, it?s no=
t quite as encompassing<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">as it used to be. Fo=
r example, when I was a child, medical prescriptions<br></div><div dir=3D"lt=
r">were free but for decades since there has been a fee to pay. Simila=
rly,<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">all dental care was free when I was a child b=
ut now while it is still<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">subsidised there is 3 tie=
r system of fees and it can still be very<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">expensiv=
e. I think at least one country in Europe has free healthcare. A=
<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">question to consider then is if the US spent less=
money on NATO and defense<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">generally would it be e=
nough for free healthcare?<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr"><br></div><div dir=3D"l=
